Central and West Reading Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Council (PC) consists of the parish clergy from English Martyrs, St.Josephs, St.James & St.William of York, together with a group of parishioners from these parishes. The lay members are intended to represent a cross section of their communities in terms of age, culture, gender and skills.

WHAT DOES THE PASTORAL COUNCIL DO?
The role of the PC is to cultivate and develop the aims of the Pastoral Area. The Council is responsible for building up our Christian community, identifying pastoral needs and for providing the means to meet those needs.

Meetings are held on a regular basis (approx. every 4-6 weeks) and include time for prayer, discussion/decisions about events taking place, thought and contemplation on themes that will guide our Pastoral Area.

The minutes from the most recent meeting are posted on the Pastoral Council noticeboards in each of the 4 churches.
